Demurrage Defender ("we," "us," "our") is committed to protecting personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the rights available to you.

What we collect

When you contact us or request access to the platform, we may collect your name, work email, company name, role, fleet type, and any notes you choose to provide. Once onboarded, we collect the operational and shipping data you enter into the platform to provide the service, such as fixture, vessel, and Statement of Facts details.

How we use it

Disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers who help us operate the platform (such as hosting and email delivery providers), bound by confidentiality obligations. We do not disclose information overseas except where a provider's infrastructure requires it, in which case we take reasonable steps consistent with APP 8.

Storage and security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information against misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, consistent with the APP 11 security requirement. See our Security page for more detail.

Access and correction

You may request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you at any time. We will respond within a reasonable period, consistent with APPs 12 and 13.
